"It is not the style

of clothes one wears, neither the kind of automobile one drives, nor the amount of money one has in the bank, that counts. These mean nothing. It is simply service that measures success."

YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED

Will You Help Us In Our Efforts to
“make life better”

for Individuals, Families & The Environment

We seek your support in our efforts to provide uniquely designed programs & services to the many underserved and disenfranchised youth, individuals, and families of Marion County and surrounding areas. The Ebenezer Retreat & Camping Institute (ERCI) Project is a nature-based experiential learning opportunity within and around our 64-acre forestry grounds and facilities. ERCI provides opportunities that expose children, adults and seniors to the beauties and benefits of nature, as well as, provide unlimited educational opportunities. Open year-round, Your Support is needed to continue providing these life expanding experiences to the many individuals who "typically" would not have this chance.

OUR NEED

In May of 2006 the Ebenezer Church Foundation (ECF) purchase 64 acres of prime Forestry Land and facilities in Putnam County, Indiana; currently named Ebenezer Retreat & Camping Institute (ERCI). This site, formerly known as the JACER INN, was a retreat area for families and youth. The owners (husband and wife) are well up in age (80+ years) and wanted their vision of service to continue. They purchased this property in 1966 and maintained the buildings and grounds effectively and to the best of their ability through and through many donations and community support.

Program and Services Support:

ERCI has serviced over 400 plus children and families in the last 3 years. We continue to provide and build upon our nature-based, experiential programs and services for individuals and families.  Allowing opportunities to those who cannot afford and/or who may not have a chance to participate in such life impacting experiences; ERCI extends opportunity. It is important that the numerous benefits which nature and the natural environment provide should be available to all who desire the experience.

Buildings and Grounds Support:

With 40+ years of existing facilities and ground layout, we continue with the process of the much needed changes. As we move forward, renovation is a great necessity and is required. ERCI has begun the process of facility renovation and creating sleeping and educational areas that are more conducive for learning. However, support is needed.

In addition to the re-construction of buildings, the equipment and building supplies need replacing.
